Introduction

With over four decades of dedicated service in the mental health field, Damian May is recognized as one of Toronto’s most seasoned experts in relationship health. For the past 30 years, Damian has operated a premier private practice, personally guiding nearly 5,000 individuals and couples through their most complex and challenging life transitions.

While his clinical expertise encompasses the treatment of anxiety, depression, and complex mood disorders, Damian’s true calling is the restoration of the relational bond. He is the creator of The May Method, a highly successful, structured therapeutic framework designed to move couples beyond "circular" arguments and back into a state of intimacy and mutual respect. This evidence-based approach doesn't just patch up problems; it provides a blueprint for long-term marital health.

Education and Experience

Damian’s clinical leadership is built upon a foundation of rigorous academic training and four decades of frontline mental health service. He holds a Master of Social Work (MSW) from the University of Toronto and is a Registered Social Worker (RSW) in good standing with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers. His professional tenure includes 43 years as a mental health professional, with 30 of those years dedicated exclusively to private practice. This deep well of experience allows him to provide a level of clinical oversight and patient care that is uniquely sophisticated and highly sought after in the Greater Toronto Area.
